Dr. Bruce Glassman, a general Dermatologist in Alexandria, VA started this bridge year program in 2004 with the idea of creating a hands-on experience for recent undergraduates looking to pursue careers in medicine. The program is currently in its 20th year and what initially started out with local schools has now expanded to include post-graduates from all over the country.
